Connector 7.8mm 3 Way GL1000 Alternator Upgrade Plug L-24

Connector 3 way cream coloured plug with 7.8mm terminals for Honda GL1000 alternator to rectifier cable plug supplied with tinned brass terminals.

The tell tail signs of the original connector starting to fail is usually noticed on the volt meter with a slow steady drop off in the voltage. The 2nd sign is difficulty in separating the connector halves. See pictures  4,5 & 6 for a connector that had dropped to 12.5v on the meter and started the melting process.

Useful upgrade to the melting 3 way white 6.3mm connector fitted by Honda. It fits inside the standard black rubber boot so you can’t see it when fitted.

The connector housing isn’t that much bigger than the standard 6.3mm plug but has the benefit of being able to handle a higher current  as long as you keep the moisture and dirt away from the terminals.
